LOG LINE
After their daughter vanishes from an airport motel, two unraveling parents cling to a dubious ransom note—driving deeper into guilt, denial, and each other’s failures as they chase a hope that may be already dead.
ELIZABETH WEISS-LACHANCE (Female Lead, 40s–50s)
Once poised and in control, now fraying under the weight of public scrutiny and private guilt. She projects competence as a survival strategy—every line feels rehearsed, even when she’s cracking. Needs an actor who excels in restrained emotional breakdowns, micro-expressions, and grounded realism.
JEFF WEISS-LACHANCE (Male Lead, 40s-50s)
Formerly affable, now numbed and hollowed out. Withdrawn, ashamed, and quietly self-punishing. Wants forgiveness but can’t articulate for what. Needs an actor who can play internalized pain, subtle shifts, and moments of quiet devastation.
